Asset Management

The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) has adopted and applied recognized holistic asset management practices in its strategic planning, operations and financial management systems to deliver sustainable services to its communities and direct customers.

The CVRD is following Asset Management for Sustainable Service Delivery: A BC Framework,  as developed by Asset Management BC. This document establishes a high-level, systematic approach that supports local governments in moving toward service, asset and financial sustainability through the asset management process. The asset management planning process was formally initiated in January 2016.

The CVRD Asset Management Policy formalizes the corporate commitment to asset management. It broadly outlines the principles and guides the development and implementation of asset management across the CVRD. It was adopted by the Board March 2016.
