What is this about?

The Cowichan Valley Regional District is embarking on a journey to discover what YOU love most about the region. From a social and economic perspective, we recognize the importance of identifying and building on the signature places and key features of our region. We want to engage local residents, business owners, students, artists, and people from all facets of experience to celebrate our unique region and to have their say in what makes the Cowichan Valley a great place to live.

To achieve this, we will be travelling throughout the region this summer, setting up a “Places of the Heart” information booth at community events to engage residents and event attendees. Our goal is to map and learn about the places that resonate with people who live in the region.

You can help shape this process by sharing your thoughts, photos, and pictures, and by pinpointing your “Places of the Heart” on our interactive CVRD maps.

The Land Use Services Department at the Cowichan Valley Regional District and will review the information gathered throughout the summer,  and consider how your input can help shape and impact land use planning and economic development policies.

Please help us shape a sustainable future for Cowichan by participating!  Your input matters!
