Western Forest Industries built the community hall in 1948. In 1952, the well-known Victorian artist George Jenkins painted six murals in the hall. The murals depicted scenes such as the view of Copper Mountain, Somenos Lake, Honeymoon Bay Mill, Skutz Falls, recreation in Cowichan Valley, Roosevelt elk and wolf packs.
A new playground with zip-line, willow tunnel and picnic shelter was installed in 2019 through input from the community.
