Got a Dog? Get a licence.
Duncan, BC – With a new year comes a new request to dog owners to get their dog licensed. While some people resist licensing as they do not understand the benefits, the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) is making sure a percentage of the revenue will be put back into dog provision, such as potential future off leash areas, providing doggy bag holders and regular emptying of bins.
“We want to reward dog owners for licensing their pet,” explains Robert Blackmore Manager Bylaw Enforcement and Building Inspection. “That is why we are launching a rewards program for licensed dogs.
