Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Mesachie Lake Water

The boil water advisory for the Mesachie Lake water system has been lifted.

Testing of samples taken from the same location both before and after chlorination indicated no bacterial counts. As a result, chlorine currently in the system will be allowed to dissipate and all operations return to normal.

The fact that follow-up sampling prior to chlorination was clean indicates water quality likely had not suffered any decline during this period. However, due to the potential health risk from drinking contaminated water, it was important to take a precautionary approach.
