Plans Set For Maple Tree Removal

Plans Set For Maple Tree Removal

Duncan, BC - Following a final decision by the Island Savings Centre Commission at a special meeting on July 26, the maple tree on James Street is set to be removed the morning of Friday, August 5.

In response to requests put forward by a group of advocates for the tree, it is intended the trunk, potentially a nursery log, and a rooted shoot from the tree will be incorporated into the new landscape with interpretive signage.
