Want to go green?
You can reduce how many pairs of eyeglasses and sunglasses you own by choosing a style that is practical and that will last a few years.
Keep your glasses in a safe place or in a glasses case so they do not get broken. Repair glasses before buying for new ones.
Can someone else you know use these glasses? Make sure your prescriptions match before sharing glasses. If they are truly no longer usable, pop the lenses out and put them in the kids dress up box!
If you have used eyeglasses you no longer need, you can donate them to the Lions Club eyeglasses recycling program through the Sassy Lion Thrift Store. This program will accept prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses, as well as plastic and metal frames. Children's glasses are especially needed. Most of the recycled glasses are distributed to people in developing countries where they will have a huge impact.
